International Certifications Organization (ICO) is a privately run accreditation organization that is committed to promoting excellence in today’s competitive global marketplace by accrediting certification bodies and their professional certifications and designations.

The ICO accreditation is a stamp of approval that is recognized around the world.

ACCREDITATION PROVIDES CONFIDENCE

Through rigorous checks and balances, each of our affiliate organizations (a.k.a. certification body) have been accredited to deliver quality products and services … whose associated certifications can be relied upon by top international organizations and individuals.

In everyday language the terms accreditation and certification are often used interchangeably; however, they do have a different meaning in the conformity assessment industry.

Certification – the provision by an independent body of written assurance (a certificate) that the product, service or system in question meets specific requirements.

This is what our affiliate organizations do.

Accreditation – the formal recognition by an independent body, generally known as an accreditation body, that a certification body operates according to international standards.

This is what we do.

We ensure all of our affiliate organizations follow international standards such as the principles of ISO 17024: “Conformity assessment – General requirements for bodies operating certification of persons.”

In a world where anybody can offer a certification, it’s nice to know you can rely on certifications from affiliate organizations accredited by ICO.
